Today was a fairly lazy day as last night was my moms last night at work. So today we seriously didnt do much but sleep. I did work on Skylers room some more. Late today we had to run to the bank and I decided I wanted to go to Big Lots to look at some desks since my desktop computer will be here in about a month( its not new its my old computer and I am very excited to have it come home).After Big Lots we headed to the mall to go to Barnes and Noble. Ended up buying a bunch of books for Skyler and Cayden for while they are in California( going to mail them tomorrow). Mom and I were starving.... Mom and I were discussing dinner while looking at cook books.. yeah good idea by then everything LOOKED GOOD..... well since we were at the mall and a place that I LOVE was there I said what about FUDDRUCKERS she said ok.. Let me tell you they have the best hamburgers in the world( well ok in my world) they even out weight IN N OUT Burger. I love their burgers .. if you havent tried them you really need to if there is one in your area.. www.fuddruckers.com

Yes I have very happy feet now. I bought these sandals last summer and when we moved in December I lost one of them. I was very sad this spring when the weather turned nice and it was sandal weather because I was only able to find one of them. Fast forward to today, I was cleaning out the dungon as I call Skylers closet, I was sorting through the tubs of toys and what do I find at the bottom.. But my Sandal. I was so happy to see it. Today they have been on my feet and I must say that I have very HAPPY FEET. I love these sandals they are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes that I have.

Last night there was an awesome summer strom that started brewing right around sunset. Well I decieded to go get some pictures of the great sky. The thunder was so loud. I loved it. It was a great night and sounded so awsome.I loved watching the lightening that came along with it. I did feel sorry for a friend of mine since such bad weather came crashing down here and they cancelled her flight from here( dallas) to Portland she got stuck and American didnt want to do anything to help them out. They finally made it home this morning after being rerouted through LA. I am just happy she got to get home to her sweet Jakey.
Not much going on here today just relaxing and getting ready to head to dinner for a friends birthday. Guess if I get cleaned up and look decent Ill post a couple pics of me from tonight.. be prepared.. LOL

They have arrived in Red Bluff and are waiting to greet my dad at home. I am sure both Matthew and Skyler are glad to be out of the car and relaxing. Skyler can now talk Gramma Teri's ear off instead of Matthews. Or Skyler has already begged to go to the swimming pool( i am betting its this). Tonight they are having dinner with an old friend then heading up to Redding to stay with Grandma Great. I am sure Grandma Great is looking forward to seeing Skyler. I hope he understands that Grandma Great cant do as much because of having her shoulder replaced in March. Either way he will LOVE seeing her and visiting with her. I hope they get a lot of pictures of their visit with all the great grandparents. I have been told not to call/text for the next 24 hrs because they are visiting. Gee thanks guys. Oh well I know Skyler is in good hands and is having a good time. I sure do miss him though.. Above are pictures from our visit in January to see everyone. One of these days I'll figure out how to get them where I want in a post.. until then bear with me.

Closer than close

Skyler and Matt are on the homeward stretch to Redding, Red Bluff and as Skyler refers to it home. Yes we all know home is really in Texas but California is always home to Skyler as it is for me. Last night they made it to Fresno. Matt I think was hoping to make it to Sacramento. So he would only have a two hr drive to Red Bluff. When I asked Skyler if he knew what today was he said yeah dinner with Aunt Shell Belle. I thought for sure he would say getting to see Papa Jim. He was like well yeah that to. The goofy kid. I know he will be a very busy boy for the next couple of weeks while he is there.
Mommy is just as busy here at home. I am cleaning out the toys, old clothes etc that has to go. The kid has way to much stuff and I am clearing it all out. So far ive gotten one big bag of clothes to go to charity ( i am sure more will follow) toys will be going to. He seriously has a ton. Many are broken so they got tossed. When Skyler gets home he isnt going to know what to do. Well I am off for now to work some more in his room and to get a few other things done. Vacation for me ends on Saturday and boy this week is going SLOW.. its only WEDNESDAY..

California by Night

That is what Skyler called and told me on the phone just now. He said he thought the painted desert was cool and that he really liked it. He told me he was having Burger King for lunch and that he had his picture taken at a T-Pee. He really sounds excited to be on this trip with his Uncle Matt. They got him a route 66 t-shirt and a Arizona sheriff badge along with a really cool blue stone( those are Skyler's words). He told me he missed me but that he was having fun and was being a good boy. I cant believe my son is on a trip with my little brother.. BOY the memories Skyler will have forever. I will post pics of this trip when they come back to Texas. I really hope Skyler is keeping a journal of the things they see. Doesn't look like they are going to hit the Grand Canyon I think they just want to be in Cali. Well its time for me to go and sort through toys etc. Perfect time to clean his room is while he is gone for a month. Bye bye toys and clothes that Skyler doesn't wear anymore.

I just love this picture os Skyler and Lola. She seems to know he was going to be leaving on a trip and she was saying she didnt want him to go. She sure does miss him and So do I.

Well I figured after reading everyone else's blogs for so long I would have to start my own. Not that I will probably keep up with it much but at least it gives me a place to say what I want to say and what is going on in Skys and mines crazy life.
Well things have been going good for us. Skyler left yesterday on his first road trip. He and my brother are driving to California for vacation. I cant believe I let my baby boy go with my brother but they are having a blast and Skyler really wanted to go see his family. Since moving to Texas he really misses California and his friends and family there. I cant say I blame him. I was going to be switching jobs this week but changed my mind and am staying with the current company. I really do love my job and I dont mind the long hours even though some days I may complain about them and how tired I really am. My mom and I are trying to get started on our own at home business as well. we are working on doing soaps, bath salts etc here at the house. I hope it goes well we are in need of testers for some of the products so who is up to it?

What makes my life...

This is Rocky.. If you continue to read this blog you will hear all about the trials and tribulations of having a very active 19month old male boxer. He is a loveable beast who was mistreated before we got him almost a year ago. He was beaten and kept in a cage over 12 hrs a day. He has come a long way in the last 10ish months but he still has some hurdles to overcome such as his chewing everything in site. He is so sweet and loveable and does such goofy things.We are lucky to have him in our home.

This is princess Lola. She is our 2.5 yr old boxer. She was supposed to have been my brothers boxer but when Skyler and I moved here in August 06, she seemed to adopt Skyler. That is her boy and she will go anywhere he goes. She doesnt like it when he isnt home and its her duty to wake him up in the morning for school and put him to bed at night. Seriously she will go and lick him til he wakes up in the morning and will lay down with him til he goes to sleep at night. She does love her creature comforts and will whine to be covered up.

Skyler he is truely what makes my life worth living. We have been through so much in the last couple of years and he truly has been what has made me keep on living. He has a smile that just makes it impossible to stay mad.. He is so sweet and loving. I am blessed to have him as a son. He does suffer from a form of Austim known as Aspergers its been a long road to get him to where he is. He is now a A student in school and is making friends and doing wonderfully. I could go on and on about Skyler but in the coming months you will learn all about him and what makes him tick.

This is mine and Skylers Gaurdian Angel. His name is Jaxson Clark. And born on April 11, 2005 that is also the day that he went to heaven. Its been a tough 3 yrs but I have made it. I dont think I would have made it as far as I have in the last 3 yrs with out the support of a great family and a great set of friends. This is me I am who I am and if you dont like it oh well. I am 31 yrs old and a single mom. My past makes me who I am. Over the last 3 yrs I have had a lot happen but what doesn't break us makes us stronger. I wouldn't be where I am right now if it wasnt for my family and my friends they have helped me in more ways than one.
